Hi all,
I have loaded 2 xml files of size 500 mb each into my powerbi desktop, which creates 2 fact tables and no dimension tables yet. Loading the xml files not takes much time but post loading, each time i open the query editior and even do a small tranformation for one of the table and try to load back to powerbi, it is taking me approximately 2 hrs. Why is it taking so long time? Is there anything that i could do to fix the processing time?
Please share your suggestions.
Thanks, even splitting the huge xml file into 4 different files and then loading, appending data and performing transformation worked as well.
Every time you mess with the meta data you get penalized with the "Evaluating..." mocking prompt.
Don't do any transformations. Or flatten the XMLs into a dataflow once and then do the transform downstream.
