Hi guys, I'm trying to get data from my company Sharepoint, but I'm getting this error:
I can't find anything related, does someone has or had a problem similar? how can I solve this? thank you!!
Hi,
Are you behind some firewall?
From what is see in error :
1. Connection was rejected:
If your sharepoint site is using internal VPN, or you pasted wrong URL.
For me this error occurs when my connection point is not whitelisted (for example when my Company VPN is off), or when i took entire URL instead of server + site part.
2. API Version.
If you look into Power Query code you may notice that connector is ending with API version 15. For me this version is causing many issues, so i usually change it to 14.
3. Choosing right connector.
Depending on company, there are actually 2 types of Sharepoint Sites.
Sharepoint Online List - When Sharepoint resides in MS Cloud
Sharepoint List - When Sharepoint resides on-premise (common with 2007 version)
Hi, @Anonymous
I wonder if you are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop and which sharepoint connector you are using. I test with 'sharepoint folder' and it works properly.
You may copy the link like below in sharepoint connector in Power BI Desktop.
Then you may click 'Transform'=>'Binary'=>'Table' to get the corresponding data.
Best Regards
Allan
