Invoked custom function calls Microsoft text analytics

Hi 

I have a M language query that collects chat,  I am have created a custom function that uses Microsoft cognative services API and retrives the sentiment value, this works fine

Is it possible to request the function on new rows of data, so I am not making requests for rows I already have a sentiment value for?

As this will increase the refresh time and incur a cost for rows I already now about.

we use the pro licence version

Do you mean to use the custom function to process some existing data in Power BI?

I do but only on new rows.

I wouldnt want to make the api call on rows that existed prior to the latest refresh as I have these results already.  This will slow the refresh down and would increase the cost of using microsofts API.
