Inorrect data from SSAS live connection

Hi everyone,

I have a report with SSAS live connection. I've noticed, that some data are doubled, compared to database value. For example, for 1st of June I have value of 10 for item_name1, but in SQL database, when I run query for this item name, I get 5. What can be an issue for such behavior? Also, difference between SSAS representation and SQL database almost always doubled, in rare cases it is increased 4 times.

Yerkhan

@Anonymous,

The issue was in extra fact rows in partitions in SSAS cube. I'm currently working on removing them.

Thanks.

@ysapiyev,

Do you create  visual using item name and other fields in Power BI Desktop? Could you please post screenshots about your scenairo and share sample data here?

Regards,
Lydia

Dear Lydia,

Yes, I was using item name and value to create visual.

I can't share data, since it will not help to recreate my problem, since I have SSAS live connection.

The scenario for my issue:

There is a database with item names as dimension and values as measure. Some of the data gets duplicated and Power BI aggregates them as sum. For example for specific date, value for item_name1 is 5, but due to duplicate values, at Power BI I recieve 10. As I understand from SSAS structure, it sums all values for item_name1. However, in database, there is only one instance of item_name1 for that date. So, it gives me combined value for two instances an I get doubled value. How it can be resolved?

@ysapiyev,

Please post screenshot about the visual with data you create in Power BI Desktop . Also post the screenshot about source data in SSAS.
