How does Power Query update data?

I have my data on one sheet in a CSV file in excel (my data source) and I created a table out of it with Power Query. I then removed errors, pivoted the column, and put it onto a second sheet

What I want to know is if I update the data on sheet 1, will it then flow over to sheet 2?

For example. If I delete every row from sheet 2, and replace it entirely with new data from the server with the exact same columns and formatting.... Will Power Query just auto update sheet 2?

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you are connecting to a .csv file in power query, when you update the data source, data in power query would not auto update sheet 2.

You need to click the refresh button in power query to update the data in it manually.

Hi.

A couple of questions.

- Where is your sheet1? You say CSV but you also say excel, which one is it?
- How did you input sheet1 to power bi?
- What does "put it into a second sheet" mean?

Ooooh wait a minute... are you using Power BI at all? I'd guess you need to find a forum for Excel Power Query. You are now in a forum dedicated to Power BI, a separate software, that also uses Power Query. Confusing, I know.
