I need guidance on How OneDrive subfolder should be accessed in power query so that other users can also run PQ successfully? I am using PowerQuery with Excel. I have following URL and subfolders inside that on OneDrive.
OneDrive : https://orgName-my.sharepoint.com/personal/user1_orgName_onmicrosoft_com/
Subfolders : Company\Project1\Testing\Functionality\Division1\Source
I got power query (pq) program which traverse folder by folder to the folder “source” and merges the files successfully. It works well for the owner of above one drive path. But when the same PQ is run by other users it fails. That’s because the owner has full path access. Whereas the other user is given access only on folder “Source”.
I was thinking whether shared folder link can directly be used in PQ? I wasn’t able to do it. Is there any way, I can connect directly to the shared link (that gets created when you grant the access to a folder)?
Or how the applications are organized/designed where PQ can be run by different users?
Do NOT use your personal sharepoint/onedrive. Use a /teams/ or/sites/ sharepoint.
