Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with the following:
There is a 3rd party vendor who publishes their data in a simple power bi report (a date slicer and a table with data)
I have their login and password and I need to get their data to my power Bi report.
Right now I just export their data to an excel spreadsheet and use it as a data source for my report.
Is there any way to automate this process and pull data directly from their Power BI to ours or to a transit database or anything else?
Hi @StanS ,
What's the 3rd party vendor ?
Does it support connectting to Rest API ?

I would start with this video so you can see how the first part is done and if you can connect to the published dataset directly.

Are you able to build reports against their underlying dataset? If so, you can make a paginated report with that as the datasource and subscribe to it at the desired frequency. You can use that email to trigger a Flow to store and name the file how you want.

@mahoneypat Hi Pat, that might work. Could you please give some more details on how I can make this happen?
