Getting Stocks data in Power Query

Hello,

I am looking to import company's financial statements into Excel using Power Query, The website I am using to import data from is below.

https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/msft/financials/balance-sheet/?p=quarterly

Also, I am following this video to get the data into Excel and refresh upon changing the ticker.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwfU3v9s3BM

The challenge I am facing is that when I change the information as provided in the video, it only selects annual data instead of showing me the quarterly data. I want to see quarterly statements when I change ticker. For example from NVDA to GOOG.

Thank you,

Vinesh Parekh.

Thanks! That’s really helpful. I’ve had a similar problem. By the way, do you happen to have any links to services that allow exporting insider transaction data to Excel in a more user-friendly format? I couldn’t find anything like that on sec.gov.

I don’t really recall such services. Why would you need them at all? What’s the point of storing or collecting this info in Excel? Trying to build some kind of personal stats? There are decent websites where insider transaction data is structured in a much more convenient way, with proper filters and regular updates. Take a look at https://prismo.pro/insiders-screener them – using the filters, you can get all the info you need for the whole year there.

Same URL syntax

The problem is that this is a dynamic URL, so in your Web.Contents call you need to use RelativePath as well as Query.
