Generate NORMINV Report in Power Query

Hi team,

I need to transform user report from Excel to Power Query. Here are the details:

There is a list of issuer name let say Issuer A-H. This list might be expanded/deleted

then for each issuer i need to generate a distributed random numbers which the user normally used NORMINV(RAND(),0,1) function in Excel with 40k rows.

Sample output to be expected something like this (with 40K rows)

Is there a way to do this? Appreciate your help

Hi, @Isma

Could you please consider sharing more details about it and posting expected result so it is clear on what needs to be implemented?  And It would be great if there is a sample file without any sesentive information here.

It makes it easier to give you a solution.

  1. Sample (dummy dataset) data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
  2. Expected output from sample data
  3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.

Please provide sanitized sample data that fully covers your issue. If you paste the data into a table in your post or use one of the file services it will be easier to assist you. Avoid posting screenshots of your source data if possible.

Please show the expected outcome based on the sample data you provided. Screenshots of the expected outcome are ok.
