Hi
I have a spreadsheet with multiple fields with data type General which contains strings and dates. In power BI, I would like to create a new column with status when comparing two different fields only with date values. Is there a way I can convert the general data type to the date field and compare it with another date field along with status?
Thanks

Add a new column with:
= try Date.FromText([DateColumn], [Format = "MM/dd/yyyy", Culture = "en-us"}) otherwise nullReplace [DateColumn]. "MM/dd/yyy", "en-us" as appropiate for your column, date format and locale.
Add a new column with:
= try Date.FromText([DateColumn], [Format = "MM/dd/yyyy", Culture = "en-us"}) otherwise nullReplace [DateColumn]. "MM/dd/yyy", "en-us" as appropiate for your column, date format and locale.
