Hi guys!
I have uploaded an Excel file for my client on their OneDrive. The thing is that I have some queries and pivot tables on the file, and I can't update the pivot tables, because it gives me an error. I cant also open with a local Excel file because it complains about BI (Using a BI workbook in a browser window). Too bad, because my reports works well there with Power Query.
Now I'm trying to use Power BI to make the reports. So PowerBI for Web would read the same Excel and make the reports. The thing is that my clients might need to update the talbes, from Excel, manually, because they dont have PowerBI for Desktop. I dont think thats possible, right?
Any ideas? 😉
Thanks!
Hi @efilipe,
How did you connect to the Excel workbook in OneDrive from Power BI service, Import Excel data into Power BI, or Connect, Manage, and View Excel in Power BI? Did this workbook get data from external data source? Which error throw out when you update the pivot tables? You can take a look at this article: Refresh a dataset created from an Excel workbook on OneDrive, or SharePoint Online.
Best Regards,
