Hi,
I have an DataSource on a SAP HANA DB with the DirectQuery mode.
The Power Query running well on the Power BI Desktop June 2022 version. But since the last upgrade (July 2022 Version), the query make an error by using the Table.TransformColumnTypes function. I try to convert a NUMC type from SAP HANA to an Integer.
Here the error Message (in French) :
Could you please help me?

Hi,
I note that the Problem doesn't appaers anymore with the Version : 2.108.997.0 64-bit (aoรปt 2022). Here is a test from the same Table/DB as my previous message.
The conversion STRING -> INTEGER works:
Does somebody know where is the correction documented?
Thanks in Advance
Regards
Julien
In the list of Applied Steps on the right, please select steps previous to the TransformColumnTypes step and check for the First step returning that error.
The previous step doesn't return that error.
Unfortunately, at this point, without sufficient data and code to reproduce the problem, I will not be able to help you further. Perhaps someone else can. If not, perhaps you could create a file, with sensitive information removed, that will reproduce the problem (with data AND code) and upload it to some sharing site (eg OneDrive; DropBox) and then post a link here.
I think that problem is linked with the source system SAP BW/4HANA.
We could reproduice de Bug on our Sandbox System, here the step.
Create an aDSO with 2 colums as following:
With the "External SAP HANA View" Option, a Calculation View will be created on HANA DB
Insert one "dummy" row with values 123 in both columns. Data Preview in BW4 look like this:
In PowerBI Desktop: import Data from the SAP HANA DB with the DirectQuery
stsaphdb04.
Select the column
Data Preview in PowerQuery before the transformation
Try to convert the NUMC type to Integer
And then the bug
With the June 2022 Version, the transformation works well :

And you don't have any transform in your Power Query that manipulates data based on the index column?
No, I don't have an index column.
