Embedding Excel Model with Power BI Web App and Inputs to Excel controlled from Web App

I have a fairly detailed Excel model with macros for running different scenarios and comparing them. For one project it is required to develop web based app for open public use. I have following some questions:

1. I am considering to embed excel with Power BI, and host it on client server. Idea for us will be to easily make changes in the excel model, without worrying bout to depend on IT provider for manual coding changes post launch. This way we can focus on our strengths as a domain Consulting organisation. Want to understand what kind of licensing needs related to excel and Power BI to host public use of the model/app, and what costing for the same? 
2. Can Web App built using Power BI provide/change inputs to the Excel model and retrieve updated outputs in real time for BI visualisations? What good examples and demo videos to ensure Power BI is best fit for such need?
3. What different forms the inputs can be given using Power BI for rich user experience - slider, editable curves, matrix, clock etc?
4. What things to keep in mind if it will be required to give user logins for people to login to the app, and store their model changes and results?
5. What other open source tools available to embed excel with strong front web engine with powerful BI visualisation (like High Charts)? How do they compare with Power BI and licensing costs for open public use?

The complexity of excel model can be looked upon as 20 worksheets with 400+ line of codes in each, and some 120+ charts required. We are also looking for a Developer to help us put this Web App.

We can import data from excel into Power BI and keep the data updating in Power bi along with it in excel via schedule refresh.
