DirectQuery and Calculate

I have 2 direct queries and I'm trying to match 1 column from each table and am getting "Function 'CALCULATE' is not allowed as part of calculated column DAX expressions on DirectQuery models." - Is there another way to do this?

InDocuware = IF(
CALCULATE(
COUNTROWS(Table1)
,filter(Table1
, Table1[Agreement] = Table2[SalesAgreementID]
)
)>0
,"Yes"
,"No"
)

your filter statement is missing the transform  ("max", "selectedvalue" or similar).

Please provide sanitized sample data that fully covers your issue. If you paste the data into a table in your post or use one of the file services it will be easier to work with. Please show the expected outcome.
