Direct Query returns spotty data

I have two datasets: one that is populated with employee names and employee Ids, and another dataset that is populated with general information about employees including data such as their phone number, address, etc. The two datasets have a relationship defined based on employee Id.

I have a slicer that is a drop down that is populated with the employee names from the first dataset. The second dataset populates a table. So, when an employee name is selected in the drop down, the employee's corresponding general information is populated in the table based on the relationship between the two datasets. Note: both of these datasets are views in the database.

My issue is that the data that comes back from the second dataset appears to be spotty. The majority of data comes across from the datasets correctly, but there is some missing data in both datasets. However, if I run the views directly in the database I get all of the data I would expect. It appears that somehow Power BI is just not returning some rows even though the views do. I have attempted to resolve this by using both direct query and import but I run into this issue with either implementation.
