Hi PBI Friends,
Been working on MS Planner data and when I am exporting it on excel file, the dates (data type) where exported as a Text. How can maintain it as a date data type when exported as an excel file? As you can see, when I used it as a my data source, dates were giving me an error. Thanks!

Hi @rbalza
You don't need to change the data type in Excel. Instead, in Power Query Editor, remove your current Change Type step first. Then right click on the Date column and select Change Type > Using Locale... In the Change Type window, select Date for Data Type, select a locale which has the same date format as your original Date column in Excel. This will change the type into Date correctly.
