Date problem - power query

Hello everyone.

I have a problem related to the date

In the dataflow environment I load the database normally and I have a date column that I define as date - pt-BR
So it appears in the format I need: mm/dd/yyyy

However, when trying to update the database, this error appears:
DataFormat.Error: We couldn't parse the input provided as a Date value. <ccon>02/23/2023</ccon>.

When opening the power query on BI desktop I can update the database normally without any error.

Thanks everyone for the support

Hi @DavidNunes7 ,

It sounds like you may have mixed date formats, and/or a regional issue.

First add a new custom column to your dataflow like this:

try Date.From([dateColumnName]) otherwise null

...then filter your dataflow on this new column = null. This should give you the rows where parsing is failing.

Once you identify from these rows what the problem with the dates is, you can choose the best method to resolve it - probably either via restructuring the dates using text editing functions, or with a regional date type change with Locale.
