Hi,
When I update fields of data in excel (my data source) the updated fields arent coming through when I refresh in powerBI. The only solution I have ever found to this is making a copy of my data source with a different name, adding that as a new data source then deleting the old source from query editor and now the fields of data I amended will show up. This essentially makes the refresh button completely irrelevant for me and takes me forever to update any of my data which should just happen through a quick refresh.
Why wont my data refresh properly? It's asif PowerBI saves cookies and just wont accept the data has been changed and it is incredibly frustrating to me. I have looked at many solutions over the forum that still don't seem to fix my issue.
Can anybody help?
Cheers
Chris
Is there some kind of lag to the data refresh? I have literally now solved it by clicking continuously on the refresh button until it actually did refresh and im sure that is not the correct way to fix any problem.
Even when I entered the data as another source it still ahd the old fields, I dont understand how it could even pick up old data from the source when the file isnt saved with that data in there anymore... does the system save cookies or something?
It sounds like the issue is that, after changes have been made in the excel file, the excel file itself isn't saving.
