Hi all,
When attempting to refresh data source within Power BI's Power Query, an operation timeout occurs. The data is being pulled from a website API and had been correctly setup; Call made on API webpage takes around seven minutes to successfully generate report. I've extended the timeout duration within BI to 90 minutes!!! Additionally, I've deleted all applied steps after source as I thought this could also impede functionality and wanted to test thouroughly. Still met with the same negative result of a timeout. Seems as if the issue lies within Power BI, if anybody could offer feedback or solutions, that'd be greatly appreciated.
Are you sure it's not a timeout on the API side? how long does it take until the timeout hits?
"Call made on API webpage takes around seven minutes to successfully generate report.", positive that timeout is not on API side.
Duration of timeout.
