I have a user who is trying to view a custom report that was shared to her workspace. She is receiving the following error:
"This report couldn't access the data source because <author name>, the author, has left their organization. Please contact the previous author's group to take over the dataset."
Other users are able to view this same report. The author has not changed organizatoin or groups. Does anyone know where this error could be coming from?
Hi @acp8888,
When you said "I have a user who is trying to view a custom report that was shared to her workspace", how did the author share this report, via share the dashboard, or content pack, or within a group workspace?
Since you mentioned "Other users are able to view this same report.", please share the report with this specific user in the same way as those users who can also access the report to see if the issue persists.
Best Regards,
Qiuyun Yu
@acp8888 Not seen this error before but can author of the report reshare it or perhaps try passing URL of the dashboard to the user and when that user access that URL it will prompt to send access request to the author and maybe it will work that way.
