Hi everyone,
How can I convert numbers stored as text in a list to a list of numbers ?
Actually, may be there is even a better way to do it.
I want to split my data by positions that are "dynamic".
In excel, I have a cell where value are stored as this : 0, 8, 10, 44, 50 ....
I tried to replace this :
#"Split Column by Positions1" = Table.SplitColumn(#"Filtered Rows1", "DATA", Splitter.SplitTextByPositions({0, 8, 18, 37, 44, 54, 64, 72, 85, 95, 105, 114, 123})),
with something like
spliter_pos = Text.Split(fnGetParameter("Split_by_position"),","),
#"Split Column by Positions1" = Table.SplitColumn(#"Filtered Rows1", "DATA", Splitter.SplitTextByPositions(spliter_pos)),
But it doesn't work because my list are text instead of numbers.
Solved! Go to Solution.
@Watever try this
let
Source = {"0", "8", "10", "44", "50"},
textList = List.Transform(Source,each Number.From(_))
in
textList
Thank you, I figured out at the sametime.
**bleep** I spent so much time until I decided to ask and that made me figure it out at the same time 🙂
thank you.
