Connecting to API

Hi, 

I'm trying to connenct to API. Can anyone help. PSA the documentation.

The API documentation shows you will need to get a key to include in your web calls, but it should not require a custom connector. Please see this video for how to get going once you have the key.

The main issue here is authentication... to properly do authentication you would need to create a custom connector to support the username/password into 30 minute token model. While it is possible to do this without a custom connector, your credentials would not be safe, so I cannot recommend doing that.

Creating a custom connector is no easy task, although in this case it could be simple. In any event if you go down this route, you will be limited to Power Bi Desktop and using a gateway if deploying online.
