I am adding a conditional column in power query editor and pulling numbers out of a column named Amount. When the value in the Column named GLAcct does not end with ". " or does not contain ".CORP". And I'm creating another column similarly when the value in the Column named GLAcct ends with ". " or contains ".CORP". (See screen shots below.)
The problem is that the first conditional column includes values in the Amount column when ".CORP" is contained within the column.

You should clarify your judgment rules (modify the judgment rules or adjust the order of creating columns and determine whether the first column has taken the value of the Amount column before creating the second column), because they have overlapping parts.
The Venn diagram below shows your problem, in which the filled squares are the overlapping parts.
