Change source from Dataflow to Server

Hi community,

I’m looking to change the source of an already built report from dataflow to server.

I tried on settings > Option but it just won’t let me change.

Can anyone help me on advanced query?

  • From server the source code is

let

    Source = Sql.Database("ServerName", "DataBaseName"),

    dbo_V_Table name = Source{[Schema="dbo",Item="TableName "]}[Data]

in

    dbo_V_Table

  • From dataflow the source code is

let

    Source = PowerBI.Dataflows([]),

    #" workspaceIdNumber= Source{[workspaceId=" workspaceIdNumber "]}[Data],

    #" dataflowIdNumber = #" workspaceIdNumber "{[dataflowId=" dataflowIdNumber "]}[Data],

    Table1 = #" dataflowIdNumber "{[entity="Table"]}[Data],

    #"Filtered Rows" = Table.SelectRows(Table1, each true),

….

In

  #"Filtered Rows3"

Thank you @Anonymous but I have already solved the issue. I have to change "Table1" to "dbo_table".

Hi @ brunovarela

From what I can see the Dataflow source code also processes the data?
In this case:
1. Delete first four steps in the Dataflow (until Filtered rows)
2. In Filtered rows manually replace Table1 with the name of your Server query. Do not forget to put it like #"query name" if it has spaces.

Kind regards,
JB
