I'm importing a dataverse table and I'm selecting only its GUID column and creating an index column as a surrogated key.
Then, I'm trying to import the same dimension table and a fact table to my model (both using the same GUID number). When I merge one of these tables against the first one to bring the index using the GUID column, it works perfect in Power Query, but when I apply the changes to Power BI it cannot be completed saying that ir references to another step...
The main idea with this is to replace the GUID number with a surrogated key to downsize the model.
Is there something to configure to get this work?

Finally I had to bypass the privacy level setting and it worked.

Hi @hromero ,
Here's 2 possible reasons.
One possible reason for this error could be that the merge step is referencing another step that has been removed or modified. To fix this, you can try to recreate the merge step and make sure that all the previous steps are still intact.
Another possible reason is that one column has a relationship join to another table, but the column changes due to some operation. It is recommended to delete the relationships in the table and reapply them.
