Hi Yingjie, fortunately, we were able to resolve this issue. After downloading the standard gateway from power bi web app using the pro account, reinstalling and restarting the machine, it worked perfectly now. Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on the error message, seems like the service name defined in tnsnames.ora does not be configured correctly. Please check the service name in the file and try to set the privacy level in power bi service which is the same as in power bi desktop when connecting to Oracle.

In addition, the port number of Oracle and the firewall settings should also be configured correcly, refer these simliar issues whether it could help you:

Did you install the Oracle drivers on the machine with the Gateway?

Yes, I did. And I verified that it's working with Power BI Desktop on the same machine.

This appears to be virtually identical to this issue @Anonymous - same error code 400 with same error message.

See if the solution provided there works for you.
