Hi Everyone, below is a simplied version of my data, I want to add a measure in my query to calculate margin (revenue - expense or revenue + expenses in this case because expense is negative), and margin % (margin/revenue). I can't seem to find the right query. Also I need to calculate the variance between Budget and Actual so switching postion of the data does not help either since I will need to insert a formula to manually calculate the variance between budget and actual as well. Does anybody have any recommendations? Thanks
You cannot create measures in Power Query (nor should you). Measures can only be created in DAX. You use measures when you want to react to user interaction with your report. For all other scenarios you can create calculated columns in DAX or columns in Power Query.
