CDS Performance

I am using the CDS to connect directly to a Dynamics 365 instance.  In this case I am attempting to bring down the contacts, but as there are many 1000's the amount of data is HUGE, I stopped the load when it got to 1gb.  The issue I think is that there are so many fields per record that I dont need, is there a way of selecting columns so that I dont download unnessesary data ?

Hi @omdavies , 

You might could use filter in power query to limt the data amount, and you also could try to  remove the column which you don't need to see whether  it works or not.
