Automatically Update Maps

Hello, 

I'm very new to Power BI, just started yesterday. I've created a basic map which pulls the lattitude and longitude data from an SQL view on my server which shows the locaiton of some service field team members. Everything is fine with the map when I create it and deploy it, however the map does not update with the new locations even when I refresh it. Am I doing anything incorectly? When I go back to the actual report in the desktop software and refresh it, it will show the new locations as per the SQL query but I need the published map to update to show the locations that are in the SQL view that I created.

@PowertotheBI,

Do you mean that after you publish the PBIX file to Power BI Service, the report doesn't update when you add new data in the SQL data source? If so, do you add the SQL data source within gateway and get any refresh errors in refresh history?
