Automatic restart of Personal Gateway in Power BI Service

Hi All,

I have a report deployed and for the schedule refresh of the report i have installed the personal gateway. Whenever the system is restarted, the gateway is going to offline and i need to log in to the service and need to do the refresh again.

Is there any possibility that the Gateway can restart automatically when the System is Restarted.

Hi @Sudharshan1919 ,

As @ BA_Pete mentioned, Power BI personal gateway is used as an application not a service in our devices so I'm afraid that it is not supported to restart it automatically as far as I know. 

By the way, even there may be someway to restart it automatically, you still need to open the application to sign in personal gateway for use.

As per MS Docs, the Personal gateway can not run as a service:

Options:

1) Add the personal gateway app to your machine start up list.

2) Force it to run as a service (NOT TESTED!):

3) Install the Enterprise version of the gateway that WILL run as a service by default.
