Apply filter grayed out in Top N filter with SharePoint list integration

Not sure if this the limitation of the SharePoint integration with Power bi. I created a dashboard by using the "Integrate > Power BI > Visualize the list" in a SharePoint list. However, the "Apply filter" is grayed out for Top N filter. Any workaround?

Thanks!

Calvin

Hi @MojoC ,

You need to drag a data field (column or measure) from your Field List into here first to let PBI know what you want the TopN of:

In your screenshot, you're trying to apply the filter to [Created By], so try dragging [Step_count] into this area, which will then show you the 5 [Created By]s with the highest [Step_Count].

This allows you to apply the TopN filter to values that aren't in your visual. For example, you could show [Step_Count] by [Created By] in your visual, but filter only for the people that covered the 5 highest distances etc.
