Welcome to our second QuickViz challenge: Time traveler

Your task: Create a line chart that tells a compelling story of change over time. Play with colors, formatting, and annotations to highlight trends and bring your insights to life.

These challenges are a fun way to practice your data visualization skills, experiment with Power BI, and share your insights with the community. These are meant to be quick, easy, and fun! Please attach your .pbix file so that the rest of us can learn from you!

Requirements:

  • Create a line chart - it can be either a core visual or a custom visual. The goal is to show change over time.
  • Add some visual formatting
  • Keep it simple

Submit your .pbix in the QuickViz gallery! Just upload the .pbix and we'll publish it for you so that people can see it and vote!

Be sure to submit by the 20th at 11:59pm Pacific time. If you miss the deadline, that's okay! We'll start week 3 at 8am the next morning (the 21st). Remember, the earlier you submit, the longer you have to rack up those votes 🙂

I used the 'enter data' feature for the sample file and added my own data. You're welcome to use this data, or create your own!

Comments

While the UN Climate Conference is being held at the moment , it would be a great idea to use weather data from the different regions to show how this has changed in the last decades.

Weather data easy to get (even as xlsx or csv file):

@vivmueller I love that idea!

Excited for the Week 2 Challenge!!

The theme was really interesting. Looking forward for the upcoming week.
