The Pro Dataviz Contest is officially underway, and we’re thrilled to introduce the powerhouse panel evaluating your creations: Ben, Kerry, and Shannon. Each brings a unique perspective on effective visualization, design best practices, and data storytelling. Together, they’ll help recognize and spotlight the outstanding work emerging from our community.
Ben is a longtime member of the community working as a Senior Analytics Consultant at Solita Germany GmbH, specializing in data visualization and storytelling in Power BI. With a background that bridges business logic and design, he focuses on helping organizations move beyond standard dashboards toward clarity, consistency, and impact in their analytics. Ben is particularly known for his deep work with Deneb and Vega-Lite, crafting custom visuals that follow IBCS principles, dynamic interactivity, and precise design control.
Alongside client work, Ben regularly delivers training sessions and conference talks under the banner of “PowerBIFerryTales”. His sessions, such as "Your Report Looks Boring and Nobody Cares" and "Deneb Dashboard in a Day", blend technical depth with practical storytelling. Ben’s goal is to make data not only insightful, but simple and elegantly communicative.
