Hi,
I got the cached data for offline usage only to work for datasets located on the SSRS 2016 SqlServer instance.
For all other datasets the option is grayed out within the SSRS2016 mobile Report Publisher.
How can I get this option to work with other datasets collecting data from other sources than the SSRS server?
Thank you in advance!
Matthias
Solved! Go to Solution.
Currently we support cache for reports without paramters.
Can you please describe the exact scenario? What happens when you try to open this Mobile Report on the phone while you are offline?
Hi ,
connected the PowerBI App to our Demo SSRS 2016 Server,
created some Datasources with differnt DB server,
creates some Datasets using Sql statements with parameter,
created some MobileReport .
(the possibility to check the box to provide offline data within Mobile Report Publisher is grayed out, when the Datasource is not located in the local SqlServer instance of the SSRS Server! - eg one is using some SAP, other SqlServer or DB Server - havn't tryed linked server yet)
When one is connected the Reports are working well.
When offline or not conected via VPN to our CNet the loading animations are boubling for ever.
With datasources from the 'local' SqlServer instance all worked well.
Regards, Matthias
