Hi @Anonymous

I see in the original post that you are selecting external PostgreSQL Database but whereas in the latest post you are saying that, you are trying to connect to PostgreSQL Database that has hosted on Azure. This might be the reason for the error.

Could you please select Azure Database for PostgreSQL and try. This might help you.

I hope this information helps. Please do let us know in case if you have any further questions.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.

Apologies for the inconvenience that you are facing here.

I tried to repro the scenario connecting a sample PostgreSQL database and was successful, I didn't face any issue in connecting. Find the screenshot for reference.

The error message says that issue is because of credential mismatch:

Double-check that you are indeed using the correct server name, database name, username, and password. Ensure there are no typos or extra spaces in any of these fields.

Clearing your cache and cookies should help improve your browsing experience and resolve any credential-related issues. Give it a try, this might help you.

If the issue still persists please do let us know. Glad to help.

I hope this information helps.

Thanks.

Hi @v-cboorla-msft

Although my credentials are correct but I am still facing the same issue. May be I am doing something wrong. Could you explain how you made the connection to PostgreSQL step by step.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous

For repro I took sample PostgreSQL database and the DB details are Public Postgres database (rnacentral.org). Please find the step by step procedure for connecting to a sample PostgreSQL DB.
