Tables not removed from lakehouse

I've got two tables in my lakehouse that are supposed to be removed. I can't query on them (keeps running forever without results) and they're not in the lakehouse view. I can see them in the SQL endpoint though.

How do I remove these tables? Refreshing the lakehouse doesn't work.

Hi @Noeleke1301 ,

Thanks for using Fabric Community.
If you want to delete the tables present in the lakehouse.

Hope this is hepful. Please let me know incase of further queries.

I know how to delete tables from my lakehouse, and I already did. But the tables are still shown in the SQL endpoint.

As you can see here, in the lakehouse view I do not see crline2 (I deleted that one), but it's still visible in the SQL endpoint.

There is no way for me to explicitly delete a table in the sql endpoint. Normally it disappears after a refresh, but not this time.

Hi @Noeleke1301 ,

Ideally on refresh you should no longer see the table. Can you refresh the browser?

Can you try using Spark SQL in Notebooks?

vgchennamsft_0-1712731624956.png

DROP TABLE gopi_lake_house.Abc5;

Please share what is the output of the Notebook?

Let me know incase of further queries.

Executing this command in a notebook linked to the lakehouse (system name has been redacted)

%%sql
DROP TABLE Base.XXX_crline2

Gave me this error

[TABLE_OR_VIEW_NOT_FOUND] The table or view `spark_catalog`.`Base`.`XXX_crline2` cannot be found. Verify the spelling and correctness of the schema and catalog. If you did not qualify the name with a schema, verify the current_schema() output, or qualify the name with the correct schema and catalog. To tolerate the error on drop use DROP VIEW IF EXISTS or DROP TABLE IF EXISTS.

Hi @Noeleke1301 ,

Hmm, It means that the table is already deleted from the lakehouse and It no longer exists.
It is only seen in SQL End point UI view. Can you clear browser cache and try to reload the Fabric and check once again. I also suggest to wait for some time and re try once again.

Incase if above method fails to resolve your issue, please let me know.

Thanks for your reply. This actually started yesterday. I also thought that waiting 24 hours would resolve the issue, but it hasn't.

I've started up an incognito session of my browser and logged into Fabric, but the table is still there.
