Hello everyone,
I’m currently working on an architecture that involves using Microsoft Fabric for data storage in OneLake. I’m trying to determine if data stored in OneLake can be directly accessed and used within Talend for further transformations or integrations.
Since Talend doesn’t seem to have a native connector for OneLake yet, I’m wondering if anyone in the community has found a solution to access this data with Talend. Have any of you tried alternative methods, such as using generic connectors or intermediary solutions (like Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2), to enable this integration?
Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your help.

Like @lbendlin mentioned, if you are only interested in the Tables from your Lakehouse or Warehouse, you can use the SQL-endpoint and select the Microsoft SQL Server as your connector. However, if you also want to connect to your Files in the Lakehouse, a SQL-endpoint is not sufficient.
Did you already try to use the Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 connector in Talend en fill in the OneLake (Lakehouse) specifications? Microsoft shows in this documentation (although it is for the Storage Explorer, not Talend) that you can use the same connector for a Lakehouse too: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/onelake/onelake-azure-storage-explorer. However, I know that Qlik sometimes has some checks on the URL you provide and does not allow a OneLake URL with a ADLS G2 connection. Not sure if Talend also have these restrictions and checks. You can try it out.
Hi @awang1020 ,
Did the above suggestions help with your scenario? if that is the case, you can consider Kudo the helpful suggestions to help others who faced similar requirements.
If these also don't help, please share more detailed information and description to help us clarify your scenario to test.

Hello,
I am using Talend Open Studio 7.1 and trying to connect to the SQL end point related to a fabric Lakehouse to retrieve tables only.
Could you advice? I was not able to achieve the connection using the SQL Server Connector.
Thanks for your help
Emmanuelle
Talend should be able to access the various SQL endpoints that are offered by the OneLake components. Is that not sufficient?
