User Data Functions in fabric are not available

Hi,

I have activated the user data function option and I have a fabric capacity.

but nowhere I can create a function. it's not available in the new item menu.

I waited for about 2 weeks before posting a question here.

so it's not a question of delay.

any idea?

Hi Team,

   Can you help me in detail how to enable the User data function in fabric i was trying for long time but no use.

changed the mode from Power BI to Fabric and tried still not able to see.

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

There is a known issue where the User Data Functions option is not visible in data pipelines functions activity. This might be the reason you are unable to create a function

You can try below solution:

Append the following variable at the end of your URL and refresh the page: &ArtifactFunctionSet=1

Creating and Managing User Data Functions

You can use the Fabric portal to create, view, and test your Fabric User Data Functions. Additionally, the Visual Studio Code extension can be used to create and edit your functions.

but the User Data Functions are just not available anywhere, not just in a pipeline.

even using VS Code did not allow me to create one.

and I'm admin of our tenant and I have access to all other features and preview features. actually the UDF is the only one not visible in my menus.

Can you try to disabled/enabled this feature once again?

Silly question, but are you in the right group or did you give the access to the whole organization ?

Are you sure that you are using a Fabric workspace ? 

If yes, can you try on a workspace with higer right (just to be sure)

Because I enabled the feature on my tenant, a few seconds later, the option was available for me

you pointed everything I ried.

I disable the feature, wait 2 days and reactivate it.

play with the access option to enable for the entire org or just a group of people

creating a new workspace

switch from 1 capacity to another.

Nothing changes.

I have a similar problem. I first tried to restrict it to a group, but that didn't work, neither did enabling it for the whole org.

I hope they can fix it soon, it's one of the preview features I'd love to test out.

A quick update:

Since this morning, so roughly 1,5 weeks later, the User Data Functions are now visible as items. Not sure what happened in the meantime, but it is fixed for me now.

I think the update to include the new AI feature as enable both features.
