Hi,
We have a pipeline import and transforming data in Fabric which works fine.
We have created some semantic models (and reports) based on the resulting tables.
The issue we have found is that the scehuled refresh of the semantic models doesn't always work: by that I mean, in the monitor it says that the semantic model has refreshed but it doesn't reflect the most recent data.
We've tried putting a scheduled refresh at the end of the pipeline, which somtimes works, somtimes doesn't.
We've tried making the schedlued refresh 1/2 hour after the pipeline has finished but, again, it somtimes works sometimes doesn't.
If we notice the scheduled refresh doesn't reflect the latest data we manually refresh the semantic model and this works fine.
Does anybody have any suggestions.
Thanks
John

Hi @Jack_Shaftoe ,
the SQL-Endpoint which serves as source for the semnatic model can indeed exhibit delays at times which is a known and problematic issue for many of us in the past.
There are ways to force a refresh of the endpoint. The following repo shows some sample code on this:
This code is discussed and executed in the following video which I find very insightful:
This could be something to implement in your workflow to make sure your endpoints are always on sync. Hope this helps!
Kind regards,
Niels

Hi @Jack_Shaftoe,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
Ensure the Lakehouse or Warehouse contains the latest updates before the semantic model refresh begins.
Since manual refresh works, investigate whether the scheduled refresh overlaps with other processes that might delay or interfere with data updates.
If this post helps, then please consider Accepting as solution to help the other members find it more quickly, don't forget to give a "Kudos" – I’d truly appreciate it!
