Make public static IP address for fabric

Hi

Have an issue with providing external service access to MS Fabric, source application does not accept IP ranges, I must provide static IP address for MS Fabric. How can I achieve this. I beleive this is only required for fabric Datafactory. Can you help and direct me how to achieve this?

Regards

I have used functionality of Fabric and connected to VNET, then I created NAT Gatewa and added to vnet subnet, this worked, I didnot have to use VM or additional runtime.

please refer this thread :

In case if you need a single public IP then having an On Prem data gateway server would be your way across. but data pipelines in the region share the IP range of ADF pipelines in that region.

Hi @k_foxy,

Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Community Forum.

Microsoft Fabric does not support assigning a static IP directly, but you can achieve this through the following approaches:

1.Deploy Self-Hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR) on an Azure VM or an on-prem machine to control the outbound IP.

2.Configure a NAT Gateway with a static public IP to ensure consistent outbound traffic.

Steps for Self-Hosted Integration Runtime:

1. Install Self-Hosted Integration Runtime on an Azure VM (or an on-premises machine).

2. Configure the integration runtime to connect to Fabric's Data Factory.

3. Set up network rules to allow only traffic from the required static IP.
