Liquid tag error while embedding the power bi report in power pages portal for customers

Hello,

I am working on power bi report where it has to be embedded in power pages portal for customers. So as a part of this we have created a service principal to link the power bi to power pages and given all the necessary settings in power platform and power bi admin center. But, when i embed the report for customers and select all the necessary options including the roles i definded as part of rls it is giving the error as "Liquid error: Error reading JObject from JsonReader. Path '', line 0, position 0."

Not sure, what is this error and how to get rid of this.
Any ideas or solutions?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @PowerVivek,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

Please verify the below steps:

  • Check if the service principal has the correct permissions in power bi, including 'App-Only' access and at least 'Viewer' role in the power bi workspace. And ensure that service principal authentication is enabled in the Power BI Admin Portal.
  • Check that the power bi embed URL is correct and formatted properly.
  • Verify the RLS roles and ensure that the assigned roles exist in the dataset and service principal is correctly mapped to the RLS roles.
