Lakehouse data from Warehouse

Hey all

I am new to Fabric and want to now if we can get the lakehouse data in the Warehouse. Can I query or get the data present in Lakehouse from Warehouse or vice versa? Is this possible?

Thanks

Hi. Dependding on the user experience you are looking for, you can query in different ways. For example, thelakehouse spark catalog (Tables section) can be query by the Warehouse SQL user experience.

Generally speaking when querying and exploring datalake, people pick notebooks for that. If you think about it, there only onelake. On top of that you have lakehouse or warehouse. If you click at the properties of table or file you can find the path to onelake. So you could query both of them with a notebook.

Again, it depends on the user experience you are looking for.

I hope that helps,

Hi @jashfabric
Thanks for using Fabric Community.
Microsoft Fabric enables you to easily cross reference Lakehouse and Warehouse data. To query Lakehouse data from Warehouse, you need to have both artifacts in the same Fabric workspace. Fabric workspaces have a cross-database query capability that enables you to query Lakehouse data from your Warehouse using T-SQL.
