Is there an official public Fabric REST API SDK for Python?

Hello Fabric community. In the Fabric roadmap there are at least two entries marked as "Shipped" related to Python:

I cannot find specific repos or documentation links for these features using broad Internet search. I would appreciate if anyone is familiar and can point directly to the SDKs or explain how to get access to them.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @apturlov,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

Thank you @Parchitect for the prompt response.

As we haven’t heard back from you, we wanted to kindly follow up to check if the solution provided by the user's for the issue worked?

Here looks like it is still tagged beta, so there is no GA/stable build published yet even though the roadmap item is marked as shipped. And the microsoft-fabric-api on PyPI is the official package published by Microsoft.

Since this is about GA/release status rather than a service issue, the best way to get the timing confirmed is to comment on the roadmap item directly at roadmap.fabric.microsoft.com , that reaches the product team responsible for the roadmap dates.

Thanks and regards,

Anjan Kumar Chippa

Hi @apturlov
What APIs are you wanting to use?

SemPy V0.14 has a lot of ncie wrappers for the fabric APIs.

sempy.fabric.admin package | Microsoft Learn

@Parchitect Thanks for your reply. I've seen this package and I don't think that's the one that is mentioned in the roadmap as "GA" as in the version history it's labeled as "beta". I would assume "GA" should mean "released". I also don't see a GH repo link in the package description.

You are right, I agree with that concern and that was my suspicion as well.

The microsoft-fabric-api package looks related, but since the current package version is still beta and I don't see either the public GitHub repo or clear GA documentation linked from Microsoft Learn.

At this point, I think someone from Microsoft would need to confirm which package or repository the roadmap entry is referring to.

Thanks for your suggestion @v-achippa. I will comment on the roadmap item directly. My question is directly related to the discrepancy between the GA status on the roadmap and the beta version of the only Python packages from Microsoft microsoft-fabric-api that could qualify for the decalred functionality as the official Python SDK for Fabric REST API.

I think the package you are looking for is likely this one:

The timing lines up as well. The Fabric January 2026 Feature Summary mentioned “Python SDK for Microsoft Fabric REST API (Preview)”,
