Environments - what's planned for it?

Hi all!

In MS Fabric, environments are currently under preview and, in there upload pre-existing python libraries as well as custom made libraries. Currently, and from my experience with MS Fabric so far, there are a couple issues and/or bugs with Environments that make it's utilization hard:

• When uploading new wheel files, with one's custom libraries, not always you can see the newly uploaded file. From my experience, this is because you have the environment being used in, at least, one of your notebooks. Therefore, you must assign another environment to your notebook, before you can do something with the env you were trying to edit.
• When uploading new wheel files, you don't have an error message, whenever you try to upload a recent file and that upload fails - instead you get a message saying the upload was sucessuful, but it shows your old wheel file

Question here is:
What is planned for environments in the next month? Is the dev team aware of this issues when dealing with Environments?

We only communicate on roadmap items through the public roadmap. Did you got a chance to refer it?

Yes, I did refer to it and, because I didn't found what I was looking for, I came here for an answer. 🙂

If you inteand to close this topic, please go ahead. However, the topics raised are not resolved because there is simply not planning, regarding Environments, for 2024 at the current time in the public road map you shared.

Please let me know if I'm looking in the wrong place or if there is anything else I should be aware of related to these topics.

Currently we don't have any communication for future plans through internal team. If there is any thing planned will gets added to the public road map. Thank you for giving a feedback, team will definetly look into it and going to check for the feasibility and improvement of the product.
