The F SKU Fabric Capacities (such as the F8 SKU) themselves do not automatically include technical support as part of the capacity purchase. Instead, support for Fabric capacities purchased via Azure (F SKUs) is typically provided through Azure's support plans.

    In other words:

    • If you have a Fabric capacity with an F SKU, your support for Microsoft Fabric components that run on that capacity comes via the Azure support plan you have on your Azure subscription.
    • You need to have a valid Azure support plan (e.g., Standard, Professional Direct, or Premier) associated with the Azure subscription hosting the Fabric capacity to receive technical support.
    • Buying the F SKU capacity alone does not automatically provide Microsoft technical support, you subscribe separately to Azure support plans for help.

This is consistent with how Azure-based services work: capacity purchase and technical support are separate transactions.

If you want included technical support with your Microsoft Fabric capacity and you do not currently have a suitable Azure support plan, you would need to purchase that support separately through Azure.

So, while Copilot or other AI assistants might suggest that F8 Fabric SKUs include support, the verified documentation explains the support relationship is through Azure support plans, not bundled with the Fabric capacity SKU itself.
