I'm bringing data from Azure SQL Server through data gateway. I can see data being pulled.
However, when I try to create the destination in the lakehouse, I keep getting the following error: An exception occurred: The given data source kind is not supported. Data source kind: Lakehouse.

Hi @nikunj_or
Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum. Also , thank you @suparnababu8 for sharing helpful insights.
The error message “The given data source kind is not supported. Data source kind: Lakehouse” occurs because Dataflow Gen2 does not currently support writing to a Lakehouse when the data source is accessed via an on-premises data gateway. While your Azure SQL Server connection through the gateway is functioning properly and data retrieval is successful, the issue arises during the writing process to the Lakehouse. This message indicates that the connector being used is not supported for this configuration. As alternatives, if your SQL Server is accessible via the cloud (such as a public Azure SQL Database), you can connect directly without the gateway, which is compatible with Lakehouse in Dataflow Gen2. Alternatively, you may consider using a Microsoft Fabric Data Pipeline.
or additional guidance, refer to the official Microsoft Fabric documentation onDataflow Gen2 data destinations and managed settings - Microsoft Fabric and Move data from Azure SQL DB into Lakehouse via copy assistant-Microsoft Fabric.

Hi @nikunj_or
It might be becuase of older verison of Gateway. Try to update your GateWay to latest version/install latest version of Gateway and try again.
Pls let me know if it works.
