Databricks Catalog Mirroring API

We aim to implement Databricks Mirroring through the Fabric APIs for automation. However, the Mirroring API specifically states that it is not compatible with Databricks. Are there alternative APIs that could be used to achieve this functionality?

yeah, the current Fabric Mirroring API doesn’t support Databricks – it’s limited to sources like Azure SQL, Snowflake, etc.

we had a similar need and here’s what we did instead:

• used Azure Data Factory or Fabric Data Pipelines to copy data from Databricks tables (via JDBC or REST)
• landed the data into a Lakehouse table in Fabric
• then used that table in reports or semantic models

it’s not real-time mirroring, but works for scheduled syncs.

also worth checking if Delta Sharing is an option – Databricks supports it and Fabric is expected to support it soon (if not already in preview).
