I have been trying to work with Data Agent in Fabric. As it gives me the Api url is it possible for me to use it in copilot studio HTTP Node and along with this process what are the things that are needed to be done.
Thanks in Advance

Hi @SyedAshraf2001,
what you're trying to achieve is in preview. While the Fabric Data Agent does expose an API endpoint, it’s important to understand that this endpoint is designed to receive natural language questions, not raw SQL or REST-style queries. please refer to below docs information on fabric data agent:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-science/concept-data-agent
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-science/how-to-create-data-agent
I’d encourage you to submit your detailed feedback and ideas via Microsoft's official feedback channels, such as the Fabric Ideas - Microsoft Fabric Community. Feedback submitted here is often reviewed by the product teams and can lead to meaningful improvement.

The link you provided refers to the HTTP node in Copilot Studio:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/authoring-http-node
My requirement is straightforward: I would like to know if it's possible to connect a data agent to Copilot Studio. Specifically, the data agent will expose an API endpoint, and I want my Copilot (bot) to send the user’s query to that API and return the response accordingly.
Could you please confirm if this is achievable, and if so, guide me on how to set up this integration?

Hi @SyedAshraf2001,
The Fabric Data Agent acts as a secure bridge between your on-premises or private cloud data sources and Microsoft Fabric.
Once configured, it enables APIs that expose data as endpoints (e.g., OData or REST).
You’ll get an API URL from Fabric that can be queried externally — this is what Copilot Studio will use.
Ensure the data source (like SQL Server) is registered and that your agent is online and authenticated.
Thanks,
Prashanth
Thanks for the solution Prasanth, Do you have any kind of documentation where I can refer this, as I won't be able to procced further with this knowledge !
If we Get API URL from it as it default generated where do I pass my queries to it ? How does it work ?
Please refer to below docs and let me know if this helps?
