Hey All,
I'm new to MS Fabric and never used Azure Data Factory. Are the existing books on Azure Data Factory applicable to creating pipelines and ADF gen 1 & 2 in MS Fabric?
Sort of seems like Microsoft just took ADF and placed it in Fabric, so I'm wondering how different the Azure vs Fabric data factory experiences and feature set are.
Also, please share any good recommendations on books that cover Fabric Data Factory or Azure Data Factory.
Thanks!

Thanks for asking this question.
Yes, you are correct. Microsoft Fabric Data Factory is imporved version of Azure Data Factory (ADF) with some important diffeerences. It connects more smoothly with other parts of the data platforrm, like Lakehouse and Data Warehouse. It also brings in new features, such as connections [replacing Linked Services], Dataflow Gen2, and On-premises Data Gateway [instead of self-hosted integrration runtimes]. Essentially, it's designed to work better within Microsoft's unified data system. You can read this Differences between Data Factory in Fabric and Azure - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn to get detailed differences.
I recommend you pls go through this books

Good question.
