Resize filtering dashboard

being able to resize the filtering pane when viewing a partucalr dashboard would be of immense value. Some of the values in our data are quite long (i.e. department names) and they are not completely visible to the user. Resizing the filter pane (as you can do on a report level) would alleviate this issue.
